Some objects are chosen.
They sit on shelves, desks, or in small collections.
They carry presence.
This live session explores how photographing such objects can open space for narrative emergence. Through observation, gentle arrangement, and framing, we examine what changes when an object is isolated and revisited through the image.
The object itself is not the story — it becomes a point of departure.
This is not a technical photography class.
It is not a competitive writing workshop.
It is a guided creative experiment.
Objects as Narrative Catalysts
Small, display-worthy objects often suggest more than they show.
Texture, form, placement, and light can shift how an object is perceived. When photographed and returned to after a short pause, new associations may appear — a scene, a tone, a relationship, a fragment of story.
The photograph becomes a new way of seeing the object.
This session focuses on that moment of emergence.
What We Explore
Across 120 minutes, we work through a clear and playful sequence:
Observing a chosen object closely
Experimenting with gentle arrangement
Photographing one or two considered images
Stepping away briefly to create distance
Returning to the image with fresh attention
Writing a short narrative fragment or vignette inspired by the photograph
Reflecting on perceptual shifts
There is no right or wrong story. We are observing what appears — not evaluating outcomes.
By the end of the session, each participant will have created one small image-story pairing – a photograph and a short narrative fragment that emerged from it.

Participants are invited to bring:
